Mutton Korma Recipe (मटन कोरमा).


Mutton Korma is a dish that is made with mutton pieces in a decadent textured gravy, essentially a mildly spiced rich and delicious gravy seasoned with flavorsome spices, yogurt, and a sinful amount of oil, which can be served with flatbread like roti, naan, etc.

1 Tablespoon
Coriander leaves chopped
2 Teaspoon
Coriander powder
2 Teaspoon
Crispy fried Onions
4 Tablespoon
1 Teaspoon
Garlic paste
1 Teaspoon
Ginger paste
500 Grams
Mutton, cut into curry pieces
1 No.
Onion, finely chopped to strips
1 Teaspoon
Red chilli powder
1 Teaspoon
Salt (or to taste)
1 Bowl

Preparation Method:

Preheat the cooking oil in a wide pan and roast the finely chopped to strips onions on low heat.

Once the onions are turns golden brown, add mutton pieces, curd, salt, water, coriander powder, and red chili powder to it and stir the mix well.

Now add the garlic paste, ginger paste, cloves, cardamom and cinnamon to the above mixture and stir well.

Cover the pan with a lid and cook on a low flame for half an hour.

Once you can smell the aroma of gravy add crisply fried onions.

Cover the pan with the lid and cook on low heat for 1 hour.

Serve garnished with diced onions and chopped coriander leaves.

Tips and Suggestions:
  1. The texture of the dish should be thick and soft.
  2. You can use ghee also instead of cooking oil.
  3. You can use chicken, lamb also instead of mutton.
  4. Adjust the spices according to your taste, if required.
