Broccoli Cheese Soup


Synopsis:

Broccoli Cheese Soup is a great, very flavorful soup. It is a favorite at luncheons, special gatherings, and small get-togethers. Adding 1 cup of sliced mushrooms and 1 cup of white wine with the onions would enhance the taste of the soup and make it a little fancier.

Prep Time: 10 Minutes

Cook Time: 30 Minutes

Ready In: 40 Minutes

Servings: 12

Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter

1 onion, chopped

1 (16 ounces) package frozen chopped broccoli

4 (14.5 ounces) can chicken broth

1 (16 ounces) loaf processed cheese

1 cup of broccoli pieces

2 cups of milk

1 tablespoon garlic powder

2/3 cup cornstarch

1 cup of water

Preparation Method:


Step-01:

Take a pan and melt butter over low flame.

Step-02:


Cook onion in butter, until softened, then add broccoli pieces and cover it with chicken broth.

Step-03:

Cook for 10 to 15 minutes on low flame until broccoli is tender.

Step-04:

Then add cheese cubes and continue stirring until the cubes are melted within the soup.

Step-05:

Mix in milk and garlic powder.

Step-06:

Take cornstarch In a small bowl and add water by continuously until dissolved without any lumps. add this cornstarch into the soup and continue cooking by stirring frequently, until thick.
